Assassin's Creed Reveals Unexpected AoT Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a surprising collaboration that defies conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the official release, "An unusual confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The storyline presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a secret group.
The mission concentrates on "peculiar trials and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Transformations
The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Bonus Features
Players who accomplish the quest will receive an unique katana together with multiple items secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
- Titan-inspired attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe

Newest Free Story Update
This patch also adds the game's third complimentary story addition, titled "The Enigma."
